"Wireless fencing is here, now!"

There's a real sense of freedom when you dispense with spools and cables. The experienced fencer can find new ways to move and improve. Novice fencers can appreciate the simplicity of wireless connection. The low cost of Epée Hitmate allows clubs to provide more active pistes at one time, increasing the opportunities for training and practice, and enables individuals to have scoring equipment for private use.

The Epée Hitmate brings a new dimension to fencing practice. With the electric weapon plugged into a small unit held in the breeches pocket, there’s no need for cumbersome spools and floor cables. Hits are indicated on a separate floor console receiver.

Hitmate implements all the timing conventions for lockout, simultaneous hits and debounce periods, and does not indicate a hit when the weapon tip makes a touch to the opponent's guard or a metal piste.

Foil Hitmate is under development and will be announced during 2010. If you would like us to notify you when it becomes available, please leave your email address here.

Hitmate has also developed a test meter to help armourers and fencers check the electrical resistance of their weapons and wires. The Rules require that contacts do not exceed a very few ohms. This is difficult to measure without specialised equipment. Our Test Meter makes measurement easy and accurate.
